• The D2 is the only micro descender in the world to offer a ‘double stop’ braking mechanism. The ‘double stop’ function means that the D2 has a sweet spot in which the descent speed can be easily controlled

• On either side of the sweet spot is an auto lock function which is activated when a user lets go of the handle it automatically stops the descent and if the user pulls the handle too hard it automatically stops the descent (often known as the panic brake)

• It has a rated load of up to 140kg and a maximum descent capacity of 120m

• The D2 can be controlled by pushing in the cam which allows the user to smoothly feed the rope through the device, without the use of the handle

• It is also easy to back feed the rope through the D2 and therefore can be used for smooth ascending or for emergency hauling

• Standard D2 Escape Kits are supplied with a 15m working lengths

• Other lengths are available on request

• Aramid fibers, (such as Technora) are perfect for use in applications where fire is the main hazard
